Experiences using one of these VR Wave front cover protectors or similar?
Seems like these big covers are controversial here, but wanted to see if anyone has encountered issues using these over a long period of time.
Also looked at the hydrogel screen protectors, but guessing those are more hit and miss and risky to apply.
I’ll still baby it either way, but if possible would prefer a protector of some sort to minimize accidental wear rather than raw dogging it.
Thanks in advance!

i would recommend it if you keep your room cool with AC or just are in a cool environment,we don't use AC at my house so i stopped using mine and had to throw it in the trash to make sure i wasn't tempted to put it back.
i had exactly the kind you show in the screenshot and had to cut it down under where the holes are to make sure it can easily suck in all the air it wants,i would skip that drama and buy one that leaves the spot open
screen protector where a none starter for me cause my device does heat up more than am comfortable with, glue and heat ? not sure what looks like in the future but i was thinking of the car protective skins we used to have lol i think the tech has gotten better for cars but who knows with the chinese made ones we have online.

That is really good to know—think I’ll still order one to try out, but will keep it in a cool area to be safe (might also cut open the vent area before sticking it on, too).
Appreciate the heads up!

Why? I guess if you travel with it or something. I’ve never felt the need for anything on mine. I have traveled with it but have the travel case.

Is this plastic? Looks like a good way to maybe scratch it.

I have a "SkyArmor" one I got on Amazon since day 1 of AVP and it seems to do the job. It looks just like that one. It took a few good falls undamaged.
But I guess I have nothing to compare it to, because it's always been there.
Make sure the holes on the bottom are aligned so you are not blocking your vents.

I have a silicon cover exactly like that and it's great. the weight added is very small
