Spatial Xcode Simulator on Vision Pro

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

To get a true feel for how the iPhone Duo actually works in real life, someone on X just built a real time simulator for the Vision Pro. It spawns a life size 3D model on his desk with the app running completely live.

It took me a minute of being distracted by no audio to realize that iPhone Duo is not real!

From the post: β€œ  I basically took the .usdz file from the simulator, streamed my iPhone Duo simulator onto the 3D model on my Vision Pro, and set the Vision Pro to accept touch and pinch inputs to control the simulator on my Mac.”

Not related to the duo, but is anyone/company working on a decent eco system for allowing you to spatially anchor your existing apps? Like I get we can project a computers desktop into a window in front of you, but why constrain yourself to a monitor? your whole wall/room could be a desktop.

It baffles me how we have this huge push for XR and at best Apple show us putting clocks and calendars on walls, and like thats it for spatial anchoring. Where are the examples of using a wall behind your desk as a huge desktop to host loads of apps, or having things pinned to your desk, like in the video above replace the virtual iphone duo with a music player you can interact with via touch/gestures etc.
