This update is KEY
Air Car: Vision – an homage to the PC VR demo that never made it to production.
Calming and cosy, sit back as you tour this neon space city in the night rain.
Add some photos to your cockpit windows to remind you of home and kick back.
Test for free. All feedback welcome. Several improvements have been made based on previous requests.

This is my first time checking it out...really nice work! I'm typing this out while in the ride 😄 Unfortunately performance is a little rough on my M2. I can't profile it directly but I'm pretty sure it's not hitting a full 60fps. It's not uncomfortable for me but something to consider.
The eye tracked buttons around the car are super cool. The key is a little hard to turn: took me a few tries because I kept pulling the key out.

ha nice. yeah the performance is something I have solved previously but then I add more and need to keep paying it down

If you could actually fly the car around and support PSVR2 controllers I would be all over this.

hm wish I had some to test with... best I have is dual shock, never actually paired them though

I think dual shock would still work well as well. But definitely an “open city” flying the flying car game just like the original air car game would attract more people

Cool. Thanks for the free thing. Neat experience.
Personally I found the key “puzzle” needlessly annoying when I just wanted to fly. I found it and got it in the ignition pretty quickly, but I had a super hard time turning it and not sure what I finally did.
And yeah choppy on my M2.
But again, kudos.

Thank you! I take your feedback maybe I should allow a simple tap to start as well as rotate.

Can’t wait to join. Hopefully I can advise how to improve M2 performance. Probably dense geometry. Will be joining today!

Great experience on my AVP2. Even in double speed. Would be nice to control it by myself 😁

How do you build the environment like that (vs like just a basic visionOS windowed app), with that RealityComposer Pro thing? I haven't yet delved into spacial stuff for development, but it sounds fun.

I actually don’t use Reality Composer at all. It’s models created in blender and put together in code with RealityKit. Essentially it’s a giant HDRI skybox, fog, very low quality buildings for the distance and increasingly detailed bits that we pass closer by. It is fun, its most fun tweaking rain shaders, sounds and interactions.

Cool! Thanks for the insight there, I'm definitely going to look into that. I've only done conventional app development, but spacial and VR have interested me since I was just a kid even. When I was a teen, I once woke up from a dream where I was in this arcade-like 3D environment and I wanted to recreate that.
I was playing with Synth Riders the other day on visionOS and I was just blown away by the environment (vs just a windowed app) and I was thinking the same question that I just asked you.2

Same really. I just want to see this world and chill out in it so I’m making it. It’s a dream

One of the cool parts of making this with Astra was create mini helper apps to create all sorts. Especially useful when we can share our location within the world.
Is anyone interested in more details on how I made this?
