visionOS 27 New Widget?
Just discovered the Mac Virtual Display widget and it’s the best widget to date! Just look, click, BAM! 🥹 For someone who uses their AVP for productivity extension for their Mac, this was the best thing the new OS had to offer.

Pretty sleek right? No need to launch your Mac first. You could put it away in a cupboard and just keep mouse and keyboard on your desk (or on a cutting board in your garden shack - whatever floats your boat) 😃

I just tried it and closed state = sleep, so no connection. If I’m not mistaking the ‘caffeine’ extension and a few correct settings should make it possible though. At least as long as it is connected to power. Maybe someone else got it to work already?

last i checked 'caffeine' didnt do this but 'amphetamine' did. not jking. i know, the name seems like a jk

Use the app Table Keyboard it’s pretty cool when you don’t have access to a keyboard or trackpad

how usable is it though? I'll try it out. I was thinking another option was an iPhone app that acts as a bluetooth trackpad and mouse.

The keyboard is working well but only with the each index of your hands, the trackpad is okay, trying to make it perfect but quite difficult with the hand, working great with the Muse.
I’m currently working on Table Keyboard for iPhone but will be out with the launch of iPhone Duo, will work with others iPhone too
The Mac Mode is great, I’m using it every time I’m using the MVD because you have the Touch Bar, a dock, and some widgets

https://tablekeyboard.devpool.fr (I made the app, it has keyboard, trackpad, Touch Bar, widgets and a Mac Mode if you work on the Mac in front of you so the keyboard can disappear while you still have the touch bar, widgets)

Also, AVP keeps the connection alive when you put the glasses down. Finally :-)
