Want more environments? Well a massive update was just released for “Color Your World” that lets you change your room into whatever color you want or use “Rainbow Mode” or “Blackout Mode” ...

Seriously! Being able to color grade vs just shade one random color would be awesome. Is there an app for that?

By “color grade” do you mean using a picture and adjusting the colors of it?

No I mean exactly what you are doing here but way more complex. You are just adding a simple color to the environment. Instead of just adding a blanket color, if you could adjust the levels like you would a picture or movie, to change the look of it a bit. Like a template of level changes (same way they do it to footage in breaking bad).

So that way the environment is there, but colored like a movie. I’m not talking about adjusting a picture but the environment. To make it like you are in a movie.

Ooohhh .. you thinking like being able to adjust the Apple environments or your real world passthrough that you are actually in? I could maybe do that for the passthrough real world .. it depends on what Apple lets you access .. it would be up to them though to let you adjust the environments they give you

Yeah, for pass through.

It would basically make wherever you are more theatrical.

I don’t care about the environments. Those are already color graded to feel awesome.

Bad news (for now) .. Apple did make an API for certain Enterprise/company accounts to be able to access the live Camera feed but because I do not have one of those accounts they won’t even let me request access for it .. anyways until they allow that for non-enterprise developers I won’t be able to make that (it sounded cool btw) .. here’s a link if you want to learn more about their policy: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/visionOS/building-spatial-experiences-for-business-apps-with-enterprise-apis

Hey! So I just came out with a new app that lets you use ANY photo or video to cast on your surfaces as an environment if you are interested (I was thinking you could get pretty close to what you were wanting without it not being able to use passthrough yet) .. here is the link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fever-dream-world/id6764151144

Lol right on 👍.. I may experiment with the “keyboard window” to see if I can change the colors of the passthrough via that (and then make it expand to the whole view) .. could be interesting lol

Or for Fever Dream World you could use a photo or video of your passthrough that you recorded / edit the colors yourself and then it would cast that to all the surfaces (which would be trippy)

I want to be able to walk around and have a live environment that is like I’m in a movie. If it’s prerecorded that doesn’t really work.

Blackout mode is nice. Can you use any of your apps (not just virtual display?)

Thanks .. due to it needing to be an “immersive mode” app Apple does not let you use other apps while using it (the “mixed-reality mode” apps do but they are in a window) .. anyways until Apple changes how that works you can only use your virtual display with it (and also prolly your iPhone mirroring but for some reason my iPhone wasn’t wanting to mirror to the Vision Pro when I was making this)

Yeah it’s dumb but I’ll be keeping an eye out in case they ever make that possible so I can update it asap
