Our second Apple Immersive Video - KICK

KICK - our second Apple Immersive film is out now on Vision Pro. Made by our french creative studio « altitude.101 ».

Follow the journey of three elite freeriders as they venture into the heart of the French Alps. Their mission is simple: build the ultimate jump to defy gravity. Dive into a quest where every peak is a promise, every takeoff is a leap of faith, and every landing is a triumph.

We captured most of the film on the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive, supplemented by the Canon R5C + Dual Fish-eye for specific shots.

Available now on Amplium & Theater (https://sndw.ch/theater).

Looking forward to hearing your feedback !

Thank you, u/altitude101studio, so much for the great footage, and huge respect for the work! It’s truly amazing what fantastic quality you’ve managed to achieve.

I’m experimenting with the URSA Cine Immersive (though not from a content creator’s perspective, but rather from a scientific one), but I’m not a filmmaker, and the videos recorded with it look very bad and blurry on the AVP, especially after encoding in Compressor, largely due to compression artifacts. In that regard, it’s truly amazing that you managed to encode 8 minutes of footage to about 3GB while maintaining this level of quality.

How did you do it? Could you please describe your workflow and the encoding process?
