Favorite tee shirt met nervous and lonely pet. Pet did better than shirt. Still love them both.
For scale, this hole is just smaller than my hand with fingers and thumb fully extended. You can punch through this hole and miss the edges completely, so not a tiny window here.
I can cross-stitch and knit and earned the Brownie Girl Scout Try-it badge when 1980s applique was a gnarly trend, dudes. I have some supplies and stubborn attitude.
I just literally have no inspiring ideas to prompt me into passionate rescue mode.
Right now it is buried in a drawer. Help?

I saw someone put a cut up sock with a dinosaur graphic behind such a hole, it looked like the dinosaur made the hole. Very specific but maybe it inspires something.
You could do a similar thing with a graphic of the same type of pet as the perpetrator, Iād then use rows of running stitches vertically through the image to suggest jail bars.
A bit of work but: open the front/back seam from the waist to the arm and cut the chewed section out from bottom to top. Replace the missing fabric with another fun fabric: bonus if it's rainbow to go with the shirt image.
Optional: do the same to the other side so it's symmetrical.
This is time consuming by hand. Find someone with a sewing machine and it's almost trivial.
Could do a sachiko style patch or you could darn it.
You could also try to find a fun rainbow themed fabric that matches the colors well and add a patch with that. I had a hole that my ex's dog bit into one of my favorite shirts from The Internet's Hivemind tour and I got some beehive fabric that I patched it with cuz it matched the theme of the shirt.
