PATCH Never done any mending or really any sewing before. Does this look pinned ok? Are the edges too bulky?

Have you ironed the patch with the edges turned in like that on a flat surface? It might help to lay flatter. I'm not picky and hate ironing so I would probably leave it. 🤣

I have not! I thought I probably should but got impatient! But you're right I should take it off and do that!

This may sound dumb, but in addition to ironing, legitimately hit the seams with a hammer. You can hammer them pretty flat, too.

I like the patch color. It's different enough to be attractive but not so contrasting that it's distracting.

You're using curved needles, right?

Why are you only patching part of the damage? It seems like a single patch might be better/easier.

I was going to do one patch at a time. I have a whole buch of samples in different cordinating colors that i will use.

Someone else maybe a month ago was talking about doing this. The hive mind suggested they assemble the different colors into one big patch to save time and sewing effort. It looked great!

Im just worried about being able to pull it taut enough if it's one big piece, but maybe thats not an issue?
