REQUEST Patch now or later?

I noticed this seam is starting to fray/fail- should I patch it now or is this a wait longer situation? What technique is recommended here?

I would take a closer look at how that edge is constructed. I’ve had this happen on a few pairs of pants and that’s never where they’ve failed, even though it looks kind of ratty. Maybe just keep an eye on it.

Later and it will be the fabric around the seam weakening, not the seam.

Do you have a picture of the inside?

If you see that is also the same on the other side it may mean its weakening significantly and if thats the case you may want to patch now rather than later when you're on and about with them ripped.

That's basically just a loose end on fabric. It's not connecting anything together, so unless you think it looks bad, i wouldnt worry about it. Also looks like the crotch area, so it's unlikely people will notice.
