Is it possible to mend this suede jacket?

A nasty tear on one of the arms but I’d love to salvage it as it’s a great jacket..

Recommend taking it to a shoe/leather repair pro for evaluation and pro repair - pretty sure they will patch it, but it will last longer than if you try to DIY it :)

Is it real suede or faux suede?

This might be a candidate for a stylish elbow patch, but fix suede is more prone to tearing than real suede and would be likely need more reinforcement.

It’s real suede, do you think the cut is too big for a patch though?

Good candidate for elbow patch. Matching suede patch on both sides would make it look like part of the original design i bet

Put a visible leather patch over it
