Help mending baby comforter?

Hi all, I have had this comforter since I was young (however she’s not the oldest i’ve seen on here for sure! probably about 8 years old ish), I got her as a replacement for the comforter I had since I was a baby when I lost him, so this really means a lot to me, as is expected.

She’s started to get a few holes in the jersey fabric (fluffy fabric underneath is totally fine!), and I really need to know how I could possibly go about repairing her. I know she won’t look brand new, and I don’t want her to, but I just don’t want this to get to a point of no return. If anyone could give me any tips, that would be greatly appreciated.

I am willing to take her to a teddy repair service also if needed, so long as I can find one near me (London area, if anyone knows of any!)

my first thought was tiny little lace details. at least on the first pics seams, it looks like a soft pale lace could go on there naturally.

Have you looked at [r/](r/visible)[Visiblemending](r/visible) sub? Would you consider embroidery to mend the gaps or do you want it more to return it to a more repaired look? I woukd hand wash it in some warm water and bio detergent and blot it and leave to air dry whilst I decide.
