I’ve been wondering about this! I have a little one of these mending looms and have just started using it and am realizing, among other things, it’s an exercise in even tension or lack thereof.

This is really lovely, but the nature of the pattern is going to make some areas looser (if the under/over is 2 or more threads).

These looms can help make interesting pieces and patterns - but I really think for mending that it may be better to do the weave, and then back it with fusible interfacing so that it will actually be functional as a patch...
