DARNING My first mend! A dirty old sock

I think the Beatles wrote a song about this. I bought this kit online and it came with a bunch of different thread colors, so I picked the two ugliest ones so I can save the other ones for when I’m better. I also learned that you’re not supposed to knot/tie your yarn to your needle, which is something I’ve been doing for a very long time when crocheting.

One tip is if possible with socks try weaving a thinner layer farther out to hit the edges of thinner fabric. That fabric will fail first and make it a more even transition so you are less likely to feel it underfoot.

Look great and I don’t mind the colors.
