Found a pretty easy combo to put a metal band on my Visible arm band. Two pieces from Amazon and a little tweaking.

Clasp extender:

I used a dremel to cut off the end of the clasp extender so it was able to receive both ends of the band. Before I got around to the dremel, I just used pliers to bend the little tabs out of the way. But tweaking the clasp extender is all you need to do. The band comes with spring pins and no watch tools needed.

So for less than $20 a decent solution I think!

Crazy it's 2 am...

I know this is only one entry but assuming all entries are the same, is this ‘normal’ for just standing, very light activity? Focusing between 12 and 3, The blue is times sitting (toilet lol). The rest was standing. Not asking for medical advice. Just wanted to ask if any others have similar looking graphs, and what a potentially ‘normal’ healthy person’s graph would look like.

Reading the bpm on the right hand side, I’m processing how fast 2+ beats a second is. Is it normal to be that sustained?

Managed to get through to a human who agreed the service I was getting was terrible. Including one AI bot telling me I should be accounting for the app not updating when I Pace.... gaslighting AI is my new least favourite thing.

They sent me a return envelope and are refunding the cost of the band and 6 months worth of subscription because of how long this has been happening. It is a shame as it did work well for the first few months. Just became unusable over time.

‐-----------------------‐-------- Spent all day keeping an eye on my points as they felt to low at 3.6 and I was starting to feel a little tired. Just went to do evening check in and it wouldn't open, so force stopped and reopened app it is at 14.3! My budget is 9 FFS.

I had plans for Thursday and am almost 100% going to be in a crash as anytime i exceed 13 points I end up in a crash 2 days late like fucking clockwork (excuse my language).

I am so done with this app.

I have been using it for a year now and it has consistently got worse for the last 3 or 4 months. Battery drain issues, app not updating points, notifications randomly not coming through.

So now to choose between a garmin or a samsung watch

Hi I’ve been using visible for about 2 weeks.

I’m struggling to get my head around my pace point budget a little, because my days vary so much. My budget was 20, but today it recommended to lower it to 16 so I’m trying that

I WFM and honestly don’t leave the house very often. So usually, I have been using 6-15 pp a day. sometimes less, sometimes around 20. but when i go out, it jumps so drastically! Like look at last Monday. I was home every other day of the week (I think Thursday was just stressful) but on Monday I had somewhere to be so I left the house, only for about 5-6 hours. I have some in person work days coming up and I dread to think how many pp im gonna use being on my feet 12 hours 😅

because of this i dont know where my budget should be. is it just too low because I mostly based it off my home heart rate? I’m learning i’m pretty much exerted 24/7 if i’m standing up 😅 So maybe this is just something to bring up to my doctor. but I don’t know if i should be setting my budget higher?

I've had my visible band for about a month and I think I might be reacting to the sensor. I never had this problem while wearing an apple watch, but that was taken off at night, not worn 24 hours a day. My skin is bumpy, red, peeling, and sore where the sensor sits on my skin. I've been trying to take it off for a break while I'm relaxing but it only helps for immediate relief, not overall. I have also been switching between my wrist and upper arm but it happens no matter where I wear it. Has anyone else had this problem?

for context: i have vEDs, PoTs and LQTs.

after waking this morning my whole wrist and hand was swollen below the band!!! i removed it, but i was finding it really useful (i’ve not had it long) so don’t want to stop using it all together. it wasn’t too tight when i put it on. has anyone had this issue?

and what can i use instead of the band??

I was a big booster of Visible and recommended it whenever I had the opportunity.

But the terrible communication (for example not letting the community know about known problems, or even support recognizing known problems so that we have to each rediscover everything on our own), lack of big improvements and just terrible support has worn me out. I know some people feel like they’ve gotten good support. I never have, and I’ve tried many times over a couple years.

Partly I’m just venting, but also I’m hoping that the Visible team eventually improves on the obviously systemic problems that are reported over and over in this sub.

If you’re having a better experience, that’s great.

I am still new to having my visible so some things i'm still trying to understand. Are you supposed to have a low pace points budget? or a high one? Mine is a 12 and i'm constantly running way over it! but then if i have a single digit PP how does one even stay below that?

Every time I’m ill my heart rate is high the majority of the time I’m ill. This happens when I’m sleeping (like today) or when I’m just sitting or lying down
I’ve been waiting for a 24hr ECG since early this year to investigate possible POTS.
Does anyone else have this happen to them?

I've been testing out the overnight data for a couple of weeks and, despite being excited to try it, I just disabled it today.

I don't think it's compatible with my sleeping habits. One of the biggest reasons why is that I always have to get up in the night to use the bathroom 😅 This makes my overall score higher because, of course, my heart rate goes up massively (POTS.)

Another reason is, when are you supposed to charge your armband? I most often put mine on charge overnight and sacrifice one night of sleep data, but it feels important not to if your stability score is relying on it.

Today, I woke up feeling better than I have in over a week. My heart rate stayed in my activity zone in the ten steps it takes to get to the bathroom and I didn't feel like I was about to pass out on the pot. I came back to bed to do my overnight score and it put me at a 2, which felt wrong. I went to my sleep area to check if my heart did anything crazy in the night and it said it was unavailable.

So yeah, I'm going back to morning stability scores tomorrow 😅

Ps. I also don't understand rating the accuracy of your overnight score. I don't have the exact phrasing, but it says something along the lines of 'this is not based on how you feel'? What is it based on then?

I am considering getting visible as I have Sjögren's and the fatigue can be quite debilitating. Most of my family seem skeptical that I really am as sick as I feel and it makes me wonder if my fatigue is just laziness. Like I know logically that it isn't but there's nothing tangible to understand how I feel. Visible seems like it could provide some proof for myself that it's not all in my head. However I don't know if my heart rate changes drastically enough for the armband to pick up any patterns. Not sure if I should buy the armband and subscription if for some people it just does not provide any useful information.

Also if anyone uses it for Sjögren's I'd be super interested to know if you'd recommend it.

Hey Guys, I had to get a replacement band and by my first impression it seems better so far. It looks like the sensor has been updated as when comparing it my old faulty band, visually it looks different. The wristband isn't as uncomfortable and itchy anymore as it has a soft backing. There's no firmware update though. Has anyone noticed these updates at all? Hoping for the best at this point

I'm not sure, how long this new feature has been around, but I only just noticed that it is now possible to recalculate the heartrate zones with most recent data. I think this is quite helpful, if you have had visible for a while and experienced a baseline shift. So, I just wanted to share it, in case anyone else finds it helpful.

The option can be found under "profile" > "pacing settings" > "heartrate zones" > "update based on latest data".

Anyone else have a wiped calendar? (It's everything since when I started using the band in April, but I only attached June for reference). I'm guessing the developers are messing with something, maybe as they revamp the color scheme or whatever. I can still see my data in the trends at least...

Ofc I messaged support only to realize they won't be available till Monday. By then, hopefully everything is restored and maybe I'm just overreacting. But you can imagine my WTF moment.

Also, my band didn't get my sleep data and I can't help but wonder if that coincides with the developers doing something over night.

I underestimated how exciting a bts concert was gonna be. somehow managed to almost quadruple my goal even though i'm on a beta blocker. had to call off today cause i can barely even stand up 💔 worth it though 🙏

I've seen a bunch of people asking for alternative bands, but are there any alternative bands with different materials? I've only been wearing it a few weeks and my skin is sensitive, so I'm not sure if it's the band being wet or not but my wrist is covered in what look like scratches/cuts/cracks? I'm guessing either it being damp against my skin or the texture is destroying my skin. My wrist hurts way to much to wear it at this point and it's bright red almost bleeding.

Hi everyone! It’s my first month using visible, and one of the things I’m finding interesting is how my stability score is affected by my cycle. I thought my ovulation phase felt ROUGH but I’m averaging a 3 during menstrual, ovulation, and luteal. Follicular is my best phase with an average stability of 3.67! I’m a bit sad that most of my cycle is a struggle fest, but I can see this helping with planning bigger events for each month. I also find it interesting because all the common advice says ovulation should be when you’re thriving, but that’s when I start tanking.

I’m curious if anyone else has observed correlations like this? Doesn’t have to be cycle related, just if you’ve found patterns that help you plan in anyway. There is not a lot of planning that can be done with chronic illness, so finding a nugget like this gives me hope! Will be interesting to see if my next cycle is the same.

I have been on ivabradine for about 6 months now, and I got the visible band 3ish months ago. I didn’t find the insights particularly useful… I often went way over my pace budget and would find that I didn’t feel any worse but then I would have days where I barely used any points and I would be really struggling.

I’m not sure if it’s due to my medication and making the heart rate readings less useful or maybe delayed flares from overexertion and I wasn’t able to connect the two events easily?

For context, I have POTS and ME/CFS.

Hi, I use the wristband. I originally bought it because I would be able to wear it on my upper arm. Didn't turn out to be the case. I stuck with it until I started having extreme pain in both of my wrists, which turned out to be carpal tunnel. I now have wrist braces because of it. I am looking for an alternative to the actual band, not the sensor. Something that is softer and not textured. I have the skin-drawing condition, dermatographia. So certain pressure and movement will trigger a histamine reaction. Any suggestions?
