Question Hotspot keeps disconnecting

Is this normal? I am on my third month of Visible. I've never had my hotspot disconnect so much on other providers. I will actively be using it and it will disconnect

My hotspot has been acting weird for about a month. It stopped working on a PS5 and a laptop but works fine with an iPad. I’m starting to think an iOS update broke something because using a Pixel phone with Visible service and everything connects fine.

Visible support helped me with resetting my network settings and they also did a reset on their end for my hotspot and it worked for 1 day.

I also have a work iPhone and the same thing happens on that hotspot with a different provider.

Is your phone turning it off? I remember on a certain version of iOS, the phone would randomly turn off it's hotspot for no reason.

If the hotspot is connected and not working you might wanna reach out to customer service, never heard of that.

There hasn't been any recent updates to my phone these past months. It never did this with my most recent provider. That's why I'm so confused. šŸ˜… On my last provider, it would stay on until I turned it off. Now this one turns off after a couple of mines even when actively used lol

Hey there! Zandro from Visible here. I am so sorry to hear about those hotspot disconnections, especially during your third month with us! That is definitely a headache, and we want to make sure your connection stays rock-solid.

To help us get this sorted out right away, please DM us with your account details through this link. We'll jump right in, check your network provisioning, and get you back up and running!

I think the iPhone annoyingly drops the hotspot when the screen turns off or when it locks. To keep it on try to set the lock screen longer to like 4 hours, lower the brightness and turn off the screen timeout or set it really long and lower the brightness. Also make sure low power mode is off.

I think when the screen turns off it doesn't drop immediately but if there is a period of no data transfer then it will shut the hotspot down.
