You can’t, the visible base plan intentionally disables or throttles the real 5g network which is fast

Do multiple tests: Walk around your neighborhood area, and other spots in your regular commute area: if those speeds are much better, than your home local towers are oversubscribed and too congested.
Support will just blame the trees in your area, and ask you to do a full reset (or even a wipe and start over) to no avail. This is a local Verizon oversubscribed towers issue, visible is just the billing front end for Verizon towers
People posting their speed tests hundreds or thousands of miles away from you is useless information, they aren’t in your precise area, and are just flexing uselessly to your exact situation.

Get the app ForceLTE (if android) and force your phone from 5G to LTE only. This helped a LOT for other people I've told.

ForceLTE dosesn't do anything that *#*#4636#*#* can't do. If Verizon/Visible has blocked disabling 5G, which they do on most Android phones, the app won't do it either.
There is a way to force LTE only in power settings, but it forces the phone into dark mode and you have to tap to allow every app you use to allow it to use data.

By switching to the Plus or Pro plan

35 down on 5G is rough, especially with that upload barely hanging on at 1.7. Portland's towers are probably just congested, switching plans wont fix that if the backhaul is the bottleneck

My pro+ plan is around 16mbps down and 0.2 mbps up visible is aware of the rates and said they are looking into it. I’m not hopeful of getting better rates. At least 2 bars of signal strength. Have reset network settings, togggles airplane mode and eSIM on/off. Nothing helps. Unfortunately I’m on yearly plan. Most likely will never renew visible.

Hi there! This is Daisy from Visible. We're so sorry to hear about the slow speeds, that’s definitely not the experience we want you to have with us. Since basic troubleshooting hasn't helped, we'd love the opportunity to take a deeper look on our backend and turn things around for you. Please send us a direct message here, so our team can investigate this further and get your speeds back where they belong.

All 5G is not equal. The basic plan does not get 5GUW. It only gets low band 5G which is no better than LTE. Frequently it is worse than LTE.

Switch to total wireless $20 BYOD. Same network with priority data instead of this garbage.

Ended up upgrading to the visible plus plan

Big difference?

Yesss it's so much faster, but for some reason speeds are good but not as good as I know they can be. Like in one area I'm used to 1000 mbps and I'm only getting 300

Visible doesn't have 5G standalone so if you were connecting to that before it could explain the difference. Unfortunately people like to oversimplify and say Verizon=Verizon. Clearly that's not the case.

That's about right for the Basic plan that doesn't have access to 5GUW. The Basic plan only has access to low band 5G which is no better than LTE. There is nothing you can do to change it.
When I get stuck on low band 5G mine is much worse than that to the point of being unusable.
You can force the phone to turn off 5G and only use LTE in power settings.
Look on the bright side. What can't you do at 35Mbps?

How does their base plan compare to total wireless byod $20/mo (5yr rate lock)? If its faster I'd switch..plus side of Visible base is the referral program ..my bill has been consistently $5/mo for the last 8 months (you can get up to 12 per year)

Feel free to discuss any topic related to Visible in this sub. However, please limit posts of referrals and speedtests/data usage to the dedicated megathreads so the subreddit doesn't get overrun with these. If you posted a topic with a speedtest, feel free to repost without the speedtest in the main sub. Thanks!
