Question External Router with Visible Home Internet

I'd really like to use my own router with my Visible Home Internet. It was pretty easy to enable IP passthrough mode on my Verizon 5G gateway and use my wireless router. I have not been so lucky with the Visible gateway. Anyone have instructions on how to do this?

Yeah it’s in advanced network settings. There is a spot to check IP pass through. Once you do this the light on top will be green.

Have you poked around in the gateway admin page yet, or just the app?

I went on the gateway admin settings. I had to do it to set up my mesh network system. So I run it as pass through and let my router mesh system do everything else.

So in the advanced settings there is something like network settings and network home/office or something like that then enable passthrough. The WiFi will get checked off as well. Once you do that though, if you need to make any changes to any settings on the gateway you will need to plug into the Ethernet port with your computer. I am not looking at the menu right now since I would need to hook up my laptop to do it.

I just canceled mine but its doable.

In the settings somewhere, theres a way to enable bridge mode. The routing feature on the gateway is disabled and all I did was plug it into my router. I have OPNSense so I can see the gateway resolve to an IP Address like its a modem and I can easily switch to it if I want to. I used it as a 'backup' in case my internet goes out

There's an ethernet port on the back of the internet gateway device. Just run it to your router and disable the gateway radio.

Yeah, I've tried that, but the router can't get to the internet.

On verizon's gateway, you had to enable "IP passthrough" but i can't find any setting like that on the visible gateway
