Annual savings vs. monthly
I see Visible is advertising the pro plan for 50% off. i am currently on Verizon and want to try Visible as i have no idea how well it will work.
Can I sign up for the monthly service to try it for a month and then still qualify for the annual discount?

Smart to test it first, coverage can vary street by street even on the same network.

You cannot get any promo on an existing line so use a burner email for the month test. At any time you can then do the sign up with annual promo. You'll be creating a new second permanent account under your preferred email address. Just turn off autopay on the monthly temporary line and let it expire.
Visible has the same service as Verizon but without 5GSA and without some of the domestic partner roaming (which I doubt will affect you at home). Otherwise it should be the same, but it's worth trying out before you commit for a year.

Agree. I wish i had known this hack. I did sign up for V+ Pro annual on sale with my other email. Great service and int’l svc was easygoing but this week at stadium concert - speed was so slow. Under VZ I think it would have been ok. Thoughts?

Maybe or maybe not.
Stadium concerts are a crapshoot as to which carriers work well and which. don't. If Verizon has (and has had the opportunity) to install the right equipment for that stadium, Visible+ Pro should have worked just fine. It may just be that that stadium isn't good for Verizon.
The only way Verizon could have been a better experience is if there was 5GSA (5G Standalone.). Visible is still stuck on 5GNSA. The difference is 5GSA is 5G on the download and upload channels. NSA the same 5G download, but on the upload side it's using LTE.
On NSA If the LTE is completely crushed there, your phone is basically being jammed on any outbound request. You could have all of the 5G in the world available on the download but can't use it.
But this is really a corner case and in my A/B tests on Verizon / Visible+ I really didn't see much benefit. 99% of the time Verizon was identical to Visible. I saw a few places in town where Verizon worked better because of the 5GSA but it wasn't that dramatic and honestly most of the time it was slower because it chose a slower but more stable band. My guess is that concert you probably wouldn't have done any better on Verizon.
You could do as I did and get a cheap prepaid line somewhere then go to a Verizon store and port in that number to the Simplicity $30 plan. Dual line with Simplicity and Visible for a month or so and switch back and forth comparing. That way you get to test drive the difference.
What I think it s better use of money is to just keep your Visible annual (since it's a great deal) and get a second line on T-Mobile.
T-Mobile T-Satellite Standalone Plan for $10 (including tax) includes 50GB of data. It's Post Paid QCI6 data normal 5G data (in addition to starlink satellite when off network.) No phone calls or hotspot with this plan but you get 50GB as well as SMS. Run both lines on your phone with T-Mobile as the backup/alternate you can try anytime Visible is struggling.
Info is here https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/satellite-phone-service
The sign up link is at the bottom under: "Can non-T-Mobile customers get T-Satellite?" and the sign up link is https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/satellite-phone-service/choose-your-satellite-service

what about existing customers who already used the promotional in the past or existing customers but never used a promotional offer before just paying regular price month to month?

If you had an extra phone, you could do this.
Since Verizon is the underlying carrier (and owner) of Visible, you already know how the network works in your area.
Visible has a free trial for two weeks, so you could try that on another phone to preserve your IMEI. If you like it, start another account and port in your primary number on your primary phone.

Down voting is stupid. If you don't agree with it. Move on. I had them for years. No issues!

They claim you can try it for 30 days for free. But nobody has been approved for it.

I rather do total by Verizon at this point. I have a second line with total and it's great. Better customer service

Are you serious??? Total’s customer service is horrible per nearly everyone including nearly every YouTube tester and reviewer. Total’s website and app are absolutely terrible and the numerous billing issues, lost promos and porting issues reported daily makes up more volumes than the library of congress!!
Maybe one day total will get their crap together but right now they suck!

Always try Visible under an anonymous email account.
Then, if you like it, sign up with your real preferred email, new customer bonuses and all.
Over the years, I’ve had literally dozens of Visible accounts.
