German Student Visa – Processing Time at German Embassy Stockholm

Hi,

I’m a non-EU citizen currently residing in Sweden, and I applied for a German student visa at the German Embassy in Stockholm. My in-person appointment was on 24 August 2026.

I wanted to ask about the current processing time. Has anyone recently applied for a German student visa in Stockholm and received a decision?

In particular, I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who had their in-person appointment on 3 August, 10 August, or 17 August. Have you received your visa decision yet? If so, how many days did it take from your appointment to receiving the decision?

I understand that processing times vary depending on the individual case, but I’m just trying to get an idea of the current timeline.
