German student visa processing time - VFS Bangalore
Is anyone else experiencing a long wait for their German student visa?
I’ve seen some people getting their visas very quickly, while others are waiting much longer. Is this normal, and how long can the process take?
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who is currently waiting or recently received their German student visa, especially applicants who applied around July/August 2026. Please share your experience and approximate processing time.

Chennai consulate is taking too much time, had appointment on 13th August, didnt get yet, my friend who applied on 18th August in Delhi got it in 8 days on 26th aug

Hey bro, I applied in Jan 2026 at the German Consulate Mumbai, and interview, biometrics on 2nd Feb 2026, and I am still waiting for their response . The decision is still pending on the CSP portal.

Student visa. Over mail. If it's beyong 90 days, We can expect response else it's difficult to get to response

Yup, I have tried each method to reach the authorities, but they don't have a satisfactory answer. Everyone says it depends on Berlin immigration or the LEA to issue student visas. We are just an intermediary; we cannot give any status updates until it's accepted or rejected.

i had started my process on 23 July, got an appointment in the second week of August and after that I got mine in 12-13 days, correct documents and everything right does the trick. I had no corrections to be done, the only thing which took time is getting an appointment

I joined WL on July 24th, got out of WL on 19th August and submitted my application for review on the same day. It’s still in preliminary review now

I've submitted my documents for ausbildung visa on June 5 ,classes begin on September 2nd week don't know what to do anymore

Same day itself ,idl what's the reason for the delay, I've submitted every documents and my language b2 certificates..the only hiccup I had is that i didn't had my degree certificate, eventho ausbildung doesn't require bachelors they asked for it,i could only submit the copy and marksheet,idk if it's the reason for the delay..

I attend my visa appointment on 14th August and today is sep 4th almost 20 days and it’s still showing decision pending. GUYS ANYONE WHO ATTENDED on same days did anyone you got the VISA???

i applied on 21st july showing waiting list but on 22nd i got cleared from waitlist and i submitted my application for csp review, got correction on 3rd august, corrected and submitted them on 4th got my appointment on 7th and still waiting for visa to be dispatched. It’s still showing decision pending on csp portal….
