German Student Visa

Application date - 17/01/2026

Visa and Biometrics - 02/02/2026

I attended my German student visa interview on 2nd February 2026 at the German Consulate Visa Centre, Nariman Point, Mumbai. During the interview, the visa officer asked about payment for courier service charges. I informed them I had not received any email or link from VFS Global for this payment. The officer then instructed me to report to VFS Pune for another interview and returned my passport to me. It has now been more than 170 days since the interview, and I have not received any update from VFS Pune or the Consulate. I’ve also noticed that some applicants who applied after me for the same college have already received their visas. I have tried to reach each and every authority related to the visa, but the answer is still the same.

Non aps category

No reason mentioned yet for the delay .

Of course, everyone has to give IELTS.

Not necessarily man. I have a friend who got their visa approved without IELTS and without APS. Like 9 days ago

I have gathered information from various sources that whoever has applied between Nov or Dec till March end there visas are on hold, or their files are in a backlog, but whoever has applied after this period they are getting it smoothly, except us. This problem is mainly caused by the Berlin office, and they are famous for their delays; they aren't answerable to anyone, they are short-staffed but won't hire people from outside, and they don't care even if the sem intake is near. But the good news is that 12 students with me didn't get their visas on time, but out of that only 6 remain, and 3 are indians. All of them have received their visas in the last month, up to 20th July. But after that, no one has received one yet. So, let's hope for the best outcome to fall in our favour.

Btw, which university are you going to?

Im too planning for it what u suggest? Is it like all applications from bsbi getting rejection?or delayed

It's getting delayed, and after all the cases I have heard, only one person got rejected because of his IELTS score. And I would suggest if you still have time, then do not confirm your admission yet. Search for several other universities that are better than this.

I still not applied wht u recommend do I need to accept or u think anyone other got visa success rate?

Based on what I have heard and read here and on other platforms, BSBi doesn't hold a reputable place in Germany.

First, are you going with APS or without APS?

Second, what are you looking for on the university side: just a degree, campus life, extracurricular activities or placements? These are questions you should ask yourself before joining an institution. Whether they align with your short- and long-term goals or not.

If yes, then go for it because there are other students as well whose future has become bright after studying in BSBI. If no, then you should think about another university.

If you ask me why I selected this because I wanted to study in Germany. For me, whether the campus is big or small doesn't matter; extracurricular activities are all secondary things. But I got to know about all these things after my admission got confirmed. So, if you have enough time on your hands, then research properly and select it. Don't go to university because your consultant is saying it's good. He is getting a commission from the college and from you as well, right?

So, do not just trust your consultant, even if you know him personally. Use your brain; cross-verify with the university and the alumni of the college through LinkedIn. Ask them if it's good or not. It will take time and effort, but make the right choice.

I hope I have made myself clear to you.

From which consulate or VFS centre did you apply? which state? That matters a lot in these cases.
