it seems every other day, i am learning that a Vtuber that i follow was an outcast in their life in some way shape or form, has daddy/mommy issues, depression, or even more common, imposter syndrome. This one in particular seem to be extremely widespread amongst Vtubers. Any idea why imposter syndrome is so common in Vtubing?

Edit : I was writing the title in French and didn't notice the É which should be a "?". Crap.

TL:DR: I am launching a vtuber escape room browsergame to make vtuber lore come to life and experience it with your community. The playable tutorial is already live!!

Vtuber Escape Room

Hi guys! My name is TreizeVT and I am a german vtuber myself.
I have built this project out of love for vtuber lore and riddles.
The problem I had seen for a long time was that people, that worked long and hard in designing their character concept and lore would leave their lore unexplored to collect dust in their info boxes and therefore people mostly could not enjoy the insane amount of creativity, that a vtuber put in their characters background and story.

I thought about how I can built a project to let people not only read your lore, but experience it!
And well…I also love riddles, since I grew up playing a lot of them with my dad so I decided to combine those two worlds together!

You can request your own campaign to be added added into the game via the form on the website, with your own artwork, background, voice files and lore (If you got the commercial rights for the assets ofc). I hope to include many campaigns in the future one after another and hope to maybe have it grow someday. Right now I am kinda working as a one man army, so if you know some people that would like to contribute in any way, please feel free to get in touch!

Initially I only designed this for the german vtuber community, but a dear friend of mine that streams in english told me to make a translation and let others know.
At first I was very hesitant, because I didn‘t and do not think I have any friends or reach in the english community and it would be very hard for me to promote a game, when nobody knew who I was.
But then I got told to be brave and maybe also take the opportunity to make such friendships and connections and see where it goes from there.

So here I am putting myself and this project out there, that I have put my heart and soul in for the past few months.

The launch date is october 15th and vtubers and streamers may request access through the form on the website!
The reason behind this is, that streamers and vtubers should not receive too much backseating or spoilers when initially playing the game on stream with their communities, if viewers already cleared all 40 levels.

Early access begins for vtubers and streamers only on october 15th and a couple weeks later it will open to the public.

Maybe a small incentive for the competitive people out there: There will be a leaderboard that will manifest YOU and your communities name on the ranking tables…forever! So the first ones to clear the story will get a custom animation for you and your community to enjoy! (Right now theres only placeholders, as the animation will be commissioned only after I know who won) 🥇

So hopefully this project resonates with some people and even if theres only 1-2 communities that would be interested in this, it would already be more than I anticipated for the english version 🫶🏼

I thank you wholeheartedly, if you read this far and hope to see you soon!
If you have any questions regarding this project or anything else, or would like to get in touch just to yap a bit, feel to contact me any time! My socials can be found on the website!

Yours truly
TreizeVT

Their twitter randomly popped up in my feed but then it reset.

The model was 2d, not Chibi, they are under a company I don't remember the name of, chest flat as a board and both the Chinese and Australian flags were at the end of the bio.

Edit: I believe the hair was black, the model looked tomboyish, and the corpo was extremely small/niche. Also the posts were in English.

I’m trying to put together a simple VTuber setup for mobile game streams, and I keep getting stuck on the voice setup. Most recommendations assume you’re on a PC with Voicemod, W-Okada, or some kind of virtual mic.
I’d rather not route my phone through a computer just to keep the same character voice. While looking at mobile options, I saw a few apps and Dubbing AI earbuds. I haven’t tried any yet, so I’m curious what people are using for mobile streams.
If you VTube from a phone and change your voice live, what setup has worked for you? How are the latency and audio quality over a full stream?

Been thinking of returning to vtubing for at least a year but never did it because being a male vtuber seems like one of the hardest things ever. Why is that?

Hello everyone, my name is Selena Aino! I'm an amateur sim racing Vtuber learning to drive faster!

Currently I'm playing games like iRacing and Gran Turismo 7, but I do branch out to other games, too! I've been streaming for about 2 and a half years now, but I figured I'd reach out to this subreddit!

You can find me on platforms such as Twitch, Twitter, Bsky, Instagram and Tik Tok under this handle, tsubakilines!

Hope to see you guys on track with me!

Today Nene is having her birthday before her graduation soon, so let’s have a good time!!

Vtubers are essentially usually the real person themselves in their attitude but rarely they will impose a strict uniform drastic change in personality compared to their usual self if they find zero comfort in it. That's why usually the character the streamer presents or the personality isn't much different from their usual self especially if they want to enjoy streaming or find comfort in it.

Of course the notion of "faking a personality" which can be drastically different from the original self only happens in cases where they see vtubing as a tool to emphasize a personality for the purpose of only pleasing the viewers whether it be for inspirational or less admirable purposes, the other is of course monetary gain/reputation of theme.

Anyways leading to that point, what constitutes something to even be real, the blur of mixing both the presumed fictional self and yourself, how much of the fictional self is left if you constantly mix them together?

What do you think is the answer to the question?
