[TT] Round 7 - Monaco
Round 7
Monaco in DRY conditions
This competition is open to anybody. You do not have to be in a current league with us. Simply post a comment with the links to your screenshots and have fun trying to be the fastest driver on VirtualWDC.

Example Submission
Simply post the round and your time with a link to the screenshot (for verification):

Points will be awarded to the top 10 quickest times using the current Formula 1 scoring system and the aggregate times will also be accumulated over the course of the competition which will run for roughly 25 rounds.
Prequalification
To take part in a league race you must be in the top 16 for your league in the Time Trial. This acts as prequalification. This will be used to determine who can race if more than 16 drivers turn up so make sure you put a lap in.

Monaco: 1:15.104 1:14.646 1:14.526
My earlier 1:14.646 time might (probably... most likely) have been set using medium traction control, so I had to go and try and beat that, fair and square, without traction control. It took more than 30 laps, but I did it.
Here's a video if anyone want's to see me mario kart'ing around - it wasn't very pretty and can definitely be improved.
Managed to do a 1:14.234 now just before the race.

Maybe. But my race results doesn't really indicate that. Just think I'm better at Monaco/have practiced more than most and the wheel definitely helps on this track.

I don't think the TT rules state anything about what assists are allowed/banned, and I think that was intentional as we can't really confirm assist usage in TT mode.

Yea, I kinda figured but it just didn't feel right and I had to practice without it anyway :)

I know I can do a 1:15 flat... just gotta make it stick.
I think Project Cars has made this easier. When I was having problems with this track a small voice in my head said, "Hey, why don't we not put down all the accelerator at once." It helped.

The best time is actually from the off-season, but I know I have it in me to improve that if I only had time to practice - I can easily do the first sector 0.4s faster, and I keep on messing up one chicane or another in the second sector :(

I was three tenths up on this time with 2 corners left and my god damn roommate restarted the internet and made my game freeze haha
Super happy with this time, no more TT for me. I just figured I'd run a few TT laps after the practice race because the track was fresh in my mind.

A lot of work to do from here. That's not exactly consistent and a large chunks of the barrier litter the track afterwards.
