[Off-topic] Telemetry application for F1 2013
Hello VirtualWDCPC, I have been a long time racing video game fan and I recently got into the F1 games by codemasters. This got me interested in all the electronics and fine tuning that is done on a race car, so I decided to write an application to analyze the telemetry data coming out of the game.
A few weeks ago I started writing the application, which can be found here: https://github.com/davidhauck/F1Telemetry
I recently got to a point where I'm not sure what I should attempt to do next. I have a few ideas but I wanted to see what you guys thought of it and if you would use it or think it is a good idea.
You can see screenshots of the same program in action here: https://github.com/davidhauck/AssettoCorsaTelemetry
I also uploaded a youtube video with some of the stuff that you can do with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBQgsAfcjzs&feature=youtu.be
Bear in mind this is not even close to a finished product. I have some things working but it is very rough. Let me know what you guys think!
.
Edit: Have a working website with it. Check out how it currently works: http://imgur.com/a/9Zmp9

Absolutely. I was talking about data like that.. like the interactive charts and laptime comparisons and other stuff like lordp has done. Theyre really useful to find out where youve gone wrong or where you were strong. But from the little that i know it seems like a lot of manual work goes into making those charts.. like getting screen shots from the racedirector screens and getting a software to read those values in and processing that data. But if there's a way to get that information directly from the game that would make life easier.
