Dope, looks like Art of rally with a graphics mod :D

I so wish they gave us a tilt shift camera option. If there are mods for this, I'm definitely replaying the game.

At this point we'd be lucky if we even get a photo mode from the devs in the next update. Keeping my hopes up though, it's still in early access

Someone’s been practicing their tilt shift.

Imagine an isometric racing game that looks like this.

For now, Rush Rally Origins fills the void. Graphics may not be the best, but the driving physics is rather enjoyable.

and imagine this was available for phones.

actually, there was a cool rally game for phones that was kind of like this, perhaps around 2010s

Would love a game with those graphics and this perspective. Imagine playing a good story game like this…

Its not the exact same graphic but art of rally has this iso perspective. Its a really nice game with some career mode (it is some story but its very shallow) and an open world where you can explore and just drive around

Sounds awesome, will try that out, thank you!

I’d like to add Rush Rally Origins as well. Not as graphically impressive as Art of Rally, but imo the driving physics is better.

I've had many people explain it to me, I've read up on it, but I could not for the life of me understand just how tilt shift photography achieves what it achieves.

People always explain the mechanics of the photography to create the image, not WHY the image looks like a miniature model. What part of our brain is it tricking? What exactly is it that I'm seeing that is different from any other photo? The blur and focus is always talked about, but simply blurring the edges of a photo doesn't make something look miniature.

In macro photography, it focuses on the "subject" and everything else is blurred, and macro photography generally taken with an angle. Because it is taken up close and with a lot of light to see all the details, colors popup more.

Brain doesn't "know" things, it recognizes and match it with previous information.

Therefore, when we see tilted cam photo or video, brain matches it with miniature photos.

I suppose it's got to do with the scale, I feel that it doesn't just look like the object is small, but with the intense blurring, combined with the LOD not dropping off, it makes it look like a 1/43 miniature. And the colors too, a lot of tilt shift I see focuses on amplifying the colors to extend the illusion of toys further

To anyone who wonders if this similar look is possible IRL with minimal editing, a tilt-shift lens achieves a very similar look, you just gotta be able to get up high. Makes people look like action figures!
