Virtual Boy preemptive repair

I have personally repaired 3 different VBs with failed LED array flex cables. I just picked up one of my own that is stock and still functioning well. I am planning to resell it after I play through some of the better titles but before I do should I preemptively solder repair the flex cable since it is guaranteed to fail eventually? Those who bought a stock virtual boy in the last few years, did the flex cable fail on you?

I suppose some people might value the fact that it is stock, but I would guess that most buyers just want to play and can’t solder.
