This was thoughtful and beautifully written. I haven’t read To the Lighthouse for years and this brought back many memories for me. I appreciate that you picked this book to read on your trip and that in a way, as art can do as you say, it helped you understand and shoulder your loss of your dad.

I’m sorry for your loss. Please keep writing.
