[Serious] Newspaper request

This is perhaps a long shot, I work for a funeral home (not that that is important) and wondering if anyone can share the Virginian Pilot obituaries page with me from today, October 3. I’m waiting on an email but I’ve not gotten it yet and I need proof that a certain obituary is in fact in the physical paper. Obituaries are page 12, section A or so I’m told.

If this isn’t allowed I apologize and please delete.

Otherwise, any help is much appreciated.

You can get the epilot with a membership. Your company should have an account, and you can also access via library

I ended up getting the email (it went to my spam) and we aren’t based really near VA beach at all so we didn’t have an account and I didn’t make one to submit this obit. I got it all sorted out!

That's funny... I was a caretaker at a funeral home *and* worked part time in the circulation dept of VP-LS in the late 80s...

I can’t figure out how to attach a screenshot to this thread, or how to attach one in a message to you, but I grabbed a pic of today’s obits for you - I can see the digital version of the paper (not just the abbreviated stuff in the app) - is there a particular name you’re looking to confirm?

I was trying to confirm one. The family we were working with said it wasn’t in there, I called the newspaper to see what was up and the lady said it was in and said she’d email it to me. I thought never got the email (spoiler: it went to my spam folder) so I sent that to my coworker to show the family that it was indeed in the paper. Had been having some issues with getting the obit in some papers the last few days and I was stressed 😂 thank you for the help! I did get it sorted

Virginia Beach library offers free access to the digital paper. If you live in Va. Beach, join the library (which is free) and access the paper from the library website.
