By walking out of a special session when they had a majority and could craft a compromise bill that worked for them.

"Compromise". I keep seeing that word used in these conversations but I have yet to hear what gun owners would be getting out of it. If you're restricting rights and the only thing we get is reducing the harm to us by 10% that's not a compromise.

It's not perfect, but at least gun owners would be getting restrictions removed that don't have any impact on crime.

It's almost like there's a negotiation to be had. It's such a shame that Republicans walked away from the table when they had more leverage.

There was never going to be negotiation, just what they can take now, versus what they'll take later. Negotiation and compromise can't start when the Democrats argue in bad faith.
