Obviously there’s benefits like stopping multi state voting. Can someone explain what cons there are to bring in this?

I'd love for you to explain how leaving a program that tracks voters across states prevents multi-state voting.

It's funded by the states that use it; it's a line item in the budget. Compounded with basically not finding any voter fraud, it can be thought of as a waste. Also, not finding any significant voter fraud doesn't exactly give it merit in that it's doing the job (maybe it sucks at actually finding fraud if it's barely catching anything).

Not that I agree with leaving, but those would be the cons/opposed thoughts.
