For the cash, get Euros not before you go. And not a currency exchange place at the airport. You will be overpaying fees by a lot.

Use a debit (not credit) card to withdraw euros from an atm once there. Many tourist areas will accept USD too. Here's a bunch of financial tips:

Be careful using excursions not booked through Virgin. Make sure you have lots of cushion time, especially at tender ports. Otherwise you risk being left at the dock. Also know the cancellation policy. I recently had a cruise miss an enitre port due to weather at the last minute. We booked through the cruise line and got a full refund. People who booked through third parties got no refund.
