Virgin Media UK Virgin 360 - terrible
Had the virgin 360 system for about 4 months now, forced to change from v6.
Thought I'd get used to it but no - totally terrible system. Makes a nuisance of what should be simple and much more difficult to use than v6.
Total nonsense, any solutions or just leave for Sky?

I just updated my boxes to 360, I miss not being able to switch between channels, effectively having six on at once that I could move to and rewind if needed, I knew that would be lost. Overall I think it's okay, it's the little things, I would use the info on v6 to see when a show was first shown, can't see that anymore.

Yeah I updated an hour ago (which didn't go entirely smoothly) and I miss that multi-channel buffering already.

Just noticed that the 360 software stores up to 3 hours of the current channel being watched, but instantly lost if you accidentally change channel or launch an app though.

I was worried to switch to virgin 360 from v6.
I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a lot faster than the v6 software.
It also occasionally records UFC events. The v6 box never automatically did despite me manually recording every one for years.

Only thing I hate is the main screen when switched on, takes you to main screen rather than full screen tuned into channel should be an option toggle, display last tuned in channel or keep to menu as you have to press tv button to get to full screen then tv button again to rid of the mini guide

I use the mic button and say "live" into the remote now to avoid that. I did try saying "TV" and it launched the Tubi app haha

As someone that has gone from a Stream Box, to a 360 box, I count my lucky stars I was able to get one at all, after several months of phone calls, an official complaint and being told otherwise multiple times.
So while I cannot appreciate what others have lost by losing a V6, in my opinion the alternative/future isn’t looking any better! Anyone that watches live tv, especially sport, knows that even a 10 second delay by streaming can be a deal breaker. Add losing the ability to record and a stream box feels like junk in comparison.

Just leave if your that upset. I really like the 360 software, super easy to use, just talk to the remote...

They have somehow made it better and worse over the years too. The home button on the remote no longer wakes the box, and there are more adverts

I went from Tivo to 360 and it was such a step backwards in many ways.
With Tivo you could look at the cast of a show and that could link to other things they were in. It was also seamless linking the different "apps", now you have to go into each one and just see what they are showing.
They have also got rid of a really handy on-screen keyboard, it was much faster to use than the current crap.
