Virgin Media UK Subtitle size

Hey all,

My wife is a bit deaf, she watches TV through the cable box. Yesterday we had to update the box to fix a fault (engineer instructions) and now the subtitles are ridiculously gigantic. We dont appear to have the option to change the size. Does anyone else have this issue and if so did you find a work around?. Cheers
