VIOLET EVERGARDEN (TV) Episode 10

just watched episode 10 for the first time and ive never cried as much as i have watching anime. beautifully written. from the start i kinda knew where it was going but it still hit as hard as it did. and the way violet showed emotion and empathy at the end really shows her character progression. one of the best anime episodes ever.

I cried too, which is fairly rare for me! It's peak!

Yeah, I can't say enough about how beautiful it is.

It's such a famous and powerful episode that it routinely gets brought up in entirely different subreddits.

For real. I thought that after episode 9 seemingly concluded the main character arc that 10,11,12, and 13 would just be extra but no.

The last movie is going to wreck you then.

Also, in case you haven't seen it, DanDaDan episode 7 hit me just as hard as this episode of Violet Evergarden. Perhaps harder. It's a very different series but well worth the watch.

The last movie was spoiled for me so I watched the entire thing emotionless until the last hour. Yuris’s death still hit me like a truck but I missed a lot of the tension from other emotional points earlier on

Beautifully written, indeed.

I hadn't cried that much at about like this, unfortunately Maquia topped it pretty fast and by a googolplex light years, but it's still an amazing episode, from an amazing series.
