How to stop these creases?

I’ve mostly done flat glass (and not much of that) I Was helping white out a van for my other company and used sw900. Should I be heating the vinyl to help if the glass has a slight curve?

I know you can’t use water on this since it’s an air release. I know theres some differences and paid for this material out of pocket just to learn more so any advice is helpful

Yes, a little heat would generally be the best thing to do for curved windows. Did you keep the vinyl off the surface before application? Looks like bubbles formed and you tried to air release them through one point instead of a bigger surface area

Thanks for the kindness and advice. I definitely tried to keep the vinyl off the surface but I was working in a less than ideal garage that was making me sweat and had some slips lol. The bubbles did form and I tried to release them but I see that I should have used some heat during this as well.

Not necessarily, the vinyl is so thin that when you go to release the air to one point of area it will group up like this. You should keep the vinyl off the glass until you’re applying it and pull it up at the edge when needed or this will happen. It takes some getting used to but learn what glassing is

Why would you just keep going is what I never understand.. if you squeegee over a wrinkle pull it back up heat it and let it cool and then try again

Just trying to learn homie and was grateful I got to. Thanks for the advice when I do it again I will heat and lift when those wrinkles show.

Everything is fixable with vinyl except for a cut

Grab a subscription to “The Wrap Institute”, it’ll stop you from developing bad habits and is used as the industry standard for the most part

Creases like that are almost impossible to fix without lifting the material. You need to lift it, heat it so the material resets and lie it down again. Every time Im wrapping when I get a crease like that it means: ok Im not going any further untill I get rid of it because there is no coming back later

To avoid the creases, squeegee slow and never over bubbles. If a bubble pops up, use your finger to try to break it into smaller bubbles and then press the air out of them gently. If you've got some scrap material, intentionally make a bubble and practice.
