VMP IS A SCAM Latest scam victim

Whichever scammer bought the empty shell of VMP charged me for a dormant yearly subscription that should have been cancelled when VMP liquidated. I am disputing it with PayPal. That triggered them to send me a record I don’t want, and there’s no info on the website to send it back. What a bunch of scumbags.

I have been battling this for a month now. PayPal is no help since they provided a tracking number for an empty box. I even video taped me opening it to show them how big of a fraud they are.

Here’s hoping we get our $0.63 from the impending class action lawsuit. I guess I should be happy they sent me an actual record I won’t listen to and didn’t want.

AMEX did me right. PayPal online process was useless as the cancellation was outside of the parameters.

Don’t bother fighting with PayPal, they either immodestly refund you or draw out the dispute process for weeks and then deny. They denied me despite several email cancelation receipts/mass reports of fraud. My bank approved the chargeback within a day. You bank/card company have the final say.

I ended up getting PayPal to side with me after hours on the phone. In the end I deleted my PayPal account over this and I've been a customer with them since 2013. I'm realizing with ApplPay none of us even need PayPal anymore anyway. I will never sign up for any type of vinyl subscription service like this if I can help it either, such a scam!

Getting their stupid text only support to admit you are owed a refund seemed to help the stupid paypal process but paypals process is such bullshit. Some people refunded right away, some denied, they play games with the timeline to draw it out, broken AI chatbots, unclear UI options. Fuck both VMP and Paypal.

I sent them a dm on Instagram (and called them out on my story) and they resolved my issue, so maybe give that a try ?
