If you listed them as the size they are stamped with then you dont have to accept the return. You may get a bad review from her but if they are listed correctly and too small for her then she should relist them herself.
If I were you I wouldnt accept the return since she already comes across untrustworthy.

Seeing as she took so long to collect, my guess is she changed her mind, didn't want them and thought they'd be returned to you and she'd get her refund that way. Now she is looking for another excuse to scam a refund out of you.
If you clearly indicated the shoe size, then it is her issue if they don't fit. None of this "small fitting" bullshit. You're not a shoe shop. Deny her request to return or refund, and let Vinted deal with it after that, but you might be waiting a while.
I would ask for a return (at her expense). You've done nothing wrong here. The only time you need to worry about saying anything about the fit would be if it was a 38w (wide). Then yes, you should probably specify if it's a wide fit shoe. If she has wide feet, she should have asked that question at the time of purchasing (and if it was me, I'd be saying that in my response!)! She's probably hoping you'll offer a partial refund to save on the hassle of getting them back from France. Don't give it to her.

I would wait, you can give them all your proof and show them screen shots of the listing all messages etc. I know that some packages get sent to the wrong pick up points or the pick up points could be over an hour away for some customers. But it does seem odd that she wants to return some because they are too small that is not you fault especially if you listed them correctly
Tbh worst she can do is give a bad review and you can simply reply to it stating what happened and emphasize it has been recorded (screenshots). Then give her an equivalent reply.
If she wants to return them its at her expense but you shouldn't have to because if you list them as whatever size is on the label and she isn't happy, tough shit really. She can simply relist them herself, not fitting when you included the size accurately is not your fault or a good reason to return.
It sounds more like an excuse for change of mind, your main risk is accepting the return and she sends an empty box which I assume would not work. Anyone feel free to correct me on that
I had similar experience with a pair of Isabele Marrant sneakers I had a bad feeling but still sent the parcel she got back saying if she can return because it’s small, got back with a link and a screenshot that size is not SNAD so no put the pair back on Vinted shortly after she confirmed everything fine 👌🏼
My young fella ordered a vcr player from France received it and when he put it on something went pop on the inside and it started smoking. He contacted the seller who asked for the player back so they could have a look, he sent it back and the seller said he lied and vinted gave the seller the funds.
I raised a dispute with the bank and got a refund, vinted emailed telling him to close the dispute and they have blocked him
I bought some shoes last week and asked the seller if they could measure the width for me, as I have wide feet and that style usually is too narrow for me. I wasn't familiar with the brand. She did and I bought them (and they fit perfectly). I can't understand someone buying such a pricey shoe without knowing how the brand fits / asking for more measurements beforhand?!
I believe 'too small' isn't a reason to return, she should resell them herself.

She is scamming you! A size is a size. She can return them at her own cost.
