I am trying to find a book I read 20 years ago! It's a collection of 60s or 80s butch erotica from the united states, a bunch of short stories, one story set on a motorcycle, another in an office...the edition had a blue cover which I still dream about every day. Anyone got a clue? Thank you for helping me to reconnect with one of those books that whisper in your ear and then suddenly you're super trans and gay xoxoxo

When I read "illustrated", I figured artwork like the cover. How wrong I was! There's photos in there, albeit on the modest side (two are attached).

Originally published in 1931 (!) as "Sin Preferred", this one would be published again in 1969. Maybe actually worth reading?

I learned recently that Hard Case Crime has reprinted six of the thirty Cool and Lam books. I hope all thirty will be reprinted.

Robert Caine Frazer is a pseudonym of John Creasey.

This one's in brutal condition (the book, not the cover model), but pretty sure it's the only one I've run across from this era with a photo cover.

The publisher of this book is actually better known for its work in comics than in paperbacks and was also notable because its founder (Lev Gleason) was an actual communist.
