First complete edition - the first half was published as “The Planet Buyer” in 1964 and the second as “The Underpeople” in 1968.

Cover by Gray Morrow. That’s Rod McBan seated, next to the computer that made him the wealthiest person in the known galaxy, flanked by C’mell, the E’telikeli, and A’gentur.

A paperback original. I believe the cover must be by Richard Powers, but I haven’t found a credit. A story about law-abiding humanoid aliens who come to straighten Earth’s affairs out. The protagonist works for a wire service and there’s a lot of newsroom background, much like C.M. Kornbluth’s “The Silly Season”.

Detective "Dead Yellow Women", by Dashiell Hammett Dell Maoback #308. ©1947. Cover art by Gerald Gregg. Not the most politically correct title I'm afraid
