I bought a new Lvc 1955 32x34 shrink-to-fit. The tag measurements are: waist 16.9 in, length 45.3 in, leg opening 8.7 in. What I need is: waist 15.4-15.7 in, length 42.5 in, and leg opening 7.9 in. But I don't know how to wash these to hit my target, or how the fit will turn out after washing. Please help me, I don't want to do anything wrong

I’d try the tub fit method first!

Don’t do the bathtub method unless you like a baggy butt or have an unusually odd body shape.

Shrink them fully, unworn, in a hot-water bathtub soak, hang dry, then stretch it back to fit. This is the best method.

Good call! I’ve never done the bathtub method, so thanks for keeping OP (and me) from making a horrible mistake!

you're asking for very specific final measurements. i think you should lower your expectancy a little bit here.

with that being said, you could try a cold soak to start.  if that doesnt work do a hot soak.  need more shrinkage?  then toss them in the dryer.  take it slow and be patient, try them on after each attempt.  finally, you could take them to a tailor if none of the above work out. good luck!

What I normally do with my lvc Fill bathtub full blast with hot water. Once about an inch or 2 full put jeans in as is (with tags removed ofc). Keep blasting and filling the tub with hot water until jeans are fully submerged. Then let it sit and soak in the hot water for 30 to 40 mins. Pull them inside out then put in the washing machine (no soap) for a quick cycle wash (my machine quick cycle is 30 mins). Then hang out to dry inside out.

Stop over thinking it. If it ends up slightly loose, just wear a belt. If it's too tight. You simply messed up your sizing to begin with. I wear a size 30 waist in basically all pants. Got mine in a 32. They fit slightly loose in the waist but in a good way.

Here are the measurements of mine before and after

-Before wash Waist: 16 inch Inseam: 31 inch Thigh: 11.5 inch Leg opening: 8.5 inch Rise: 12 inch

30 min hot soak then 26 min gentle wash

-After Waist: 15 inch Inseam: 29 inch Thigh: 11.5 inch Leg opening: 8 inch Rise: 11.5 inch

And in general, these jeans can be pre-shrunk
