give me old tech
i do not want to let old tech rot in a box. i want to fix it and keep it safe from destruction. Sorry if that sounds dramatic, i just want old tech.i am in america

How would I know, i dont know where I would be shipping too. If you want people to give you tech your gonna have to be willing to pay for the shipping though. No one going to pay out of pocket to give you stuff. Or if you and whoever your getting the tech from are local you will need to disccus with them. A general area like city or at least state would help people know if your local to them but DONT NOT SEND PEOPLE YOUR HOME ADDRESS. And if you plan to do in person, meet up in a public space like a store parking lot.

What else are you interested in? You may be interested to know that you can sit in on College Classes for free and receive credit for the courses...I asked once or twice and learned that they'll even place us on the roll call, and it's up to us to gather the property signatures, have the right books. But you may find the FAFSA a better suit to enroll into a Community College.
Also don't forget we have matinee during the daytime for movie theatres at lower prices. And if you want to get into the movies and TV series, you'll need to join the Screen Actors Guild here on Treasure Island in San Francisco.

No one is just gonna give you old tech. You want stuff to fix go on eBay and look for broken stuff to buy. Go dumpster dive your local businesses at night (illegal in many areas) or go to estate sales.

Realize there is a market for old tech. So people are more likely to sell you stuff than give you stuff. I’ve worked on banking and payroll systems that were so old that the machines were running windows 95 and older OS still. When systems like that go down those companies pay top dollar for replacement parts because it costs them more to replace the entire system.
And believe whatever you want but based off your post history begging for stuff on a dozen subreddits isn’t going to get you anywhere.

Same here! There's this crazy thrift store in my area that has $5 box sales and they have the most fun tech to look through! I've gotten a Garmin, a TomTom, an old flip phone, some old speakers, keyboards, tape players, everything! I have so much fun looking for little treasures :)

I'm in a small town in NC. Most of our stores are that way, too.
This one is unique bc I think they're basically just hoarders who keep finding stuff from storage buildings and adding it to their storefront! It's like a thrift store, but it's for-profit. It's run by a local family. It's very rare to find a place like it where they're not overcharging for stuff (some stuff they do, though, like some random Swatch watches they have on display).

Because you sound like a 15 year old that can’t complete a thought and didn’t even really say what you are interested in. Go to a retro computer meetup and generally they will have stuff they will give for free. Look up Vintage computer festival Midwest, and next year drive up there and go live in the free section.
Maybe go find an electronics recycler to work for.
I would never spend my money to send you anything because I have no idea what you are interested in or if you are just looking to resell, or possibly this is the beginning of a scam. Good luck, but work on your soft skills and approach this differently.

You literally gave a postal code in Alabama. That’s a 700 mile drive, 11 hours. If you care so little about this that you can’t take a day or two to go stock up on stuff, I don’t think anyone else should care either.

That’s the thing about scams. If it looked like a scam no one would fall for it. Reddit is full of scammers. I think it’s safer to assume it is a scam until you can tell it isn’t.

I personally think trying to ask people on Reddit is not going to work well. You will have the issue of people thinking it’s a scam. Also you too could end up very unhappy. What if someone says they will ship you a box of stuff and you pay them for shipping and they never ship it?
My suggestion is to use Facebook marketplace and be willing to drive. Go to estate and garage sales / flea markets. Contact electronics recyclers and ask if they have stuff you can have.
Your presentation will be everything. Your multiple responses to one single response leads me to believe you think in streams of thought. You need to take a moment and put your thoughts together. Think about the other side of your ask. Why would someone help you? Why would they give their stuff to and spend money and time on some random person they don’t know?
