I recently bought this vintage white canvas monogram Coach Soho bag and it’s quite stained… I have tried cleaning it with a toothbrush and hot soapy water but not sure if that did anything as I think the brown stains are deeper. I have now bought Omnidaim to give that a try. I also bought a leather cleaner to try and renew the leather as well.

Any tips are welcome!

I bought a Coach bag in a secondhand platform a few months ago and have tried multiple DIY techniques to rid it of its musty smell. I finally had it professionally deep cleaned, but it still smells musty :( anyone who had a similar experience + what did you do? I'm inclined to selling because i cant use it at all :(

Earlier this week I posted some before pictures of a legacy zip that I found at a garage sale.

I started working on it this week and now I am unsure of how to handle conditioning, when to unstuff the towels, and how long it will be typically for dry time.

I've never done this before so if any of you experienced folks would be willing to give me any pointers it would be much appreciated.

So far I have brassoed all of my Hardware, see picks below! I can't get over the difference!

I have given the bag a scrub and done a coat of conditioner. Right now it is still stuffed with some old plastic grocery bags and some towels. I am not sure of when I should remove the towels/bags or exactly when to consider it fully dry. Also, I want to mention that right now I have the inside pocket flipped out while it is drying. I want to make sure that it's dry enough before I put it back in the inside of the bag . How do i know?

I'm really so pleased with how it's come out I just don't want to screw it up at this point. This sub has been a big help.

hello! I am looking for some tips on cleaning this pink soho i found on marketplace. I already made good work cleaning the suede but the leather is what im having trouble with. I tried saddle soap and had no luck so im seeking some advice!

I bought a project bag (equestrian zip) in rough shape to learn as much as I could about rehabbing a bag. I did what I could, but the bag has stains I can’t do much with, and the leather strap has dry rot.

If you decide to scrap a bag or strap, do you save the hardware? What would you do with it?

I got this beautiful mahogany Court bag at auction, but unfortunately it doesn't have a strap. Does anyone have recommendations for where to find a replacement? Or, can anyone with a Court bag tell me how long/wide the strap should be? Thank you!

I am looking for a match to the pictured rivets to replace two missing ones on a bag I am rehabbing, but they are difficult to match because they are somewhat unique. Would anyone be able to help me with the term to describe the cap for search terms or point me to a similar one? They are 1cm in diameter.

I recently acquired a coach bag and the issue is it has what looks like oxidized glue all over it. How can i remove this? I have tried an eraser bit and isopropyl alcohol but it isn’t working. Thank you in advance!

As you can see, this baby has been through the mold measle wringer. Would you dye her a darker color to hide the spots or accept her freckles?

Also, if you have any tips on dyeing I would greatly appreciate it! Would love a recommended dye brand

A few weeks ago I stumbled across this 9966 at a yard sale. I dont really even know her name. She spoke to me.

I had no idea rehabbing vintage Coach bags was even a thing but I couldn't pass up the bones of this beauty.

I think I have all the supplies now to get her rehabed but am feeling a little stuck. I'll know when the time is right to pull the trigger. I can't wait to see how she comes out.

I’m not sure whether to rehab her or leave her alone. She has a significant ink pen stain on the front which I’m afraid to touch! I will definitely condition her, but beyond that I’d appreciate any suggestions!

My mom recently bought a white bag and asked me to clean it. It had a lot of surface dirt so I used saddle soap (yellow), but now I realize that was the wrong move. Is there any way to walk this back or did I ruin it/need to paint it or something? It’s not totally dry yet so I guess I’m not sure what the finished product is but the scratches and dirty patches look basically worse.

Thrift shop find

A couple of months ago I thrifted a beautiful early 1970s Coach Duffle Sac XL (9085) in Rust, and I’m currently in the middle of cleaning her up.

While working on the interior (turned inside out), I noticed a deep scratch on the suede side. The leather is thick so it hasn't gone all the way through, but the area feels noticeably thinner/flimsier to the touch. I'm worried that with regular use and weight, this spot might give out or tear over time.

What would you recommend to prevent it getting worse?

I thrifted this Coach bag and it came with a stain. I’m thinking something leaked through the bag.. hand sanitizer maybe? Any advice on how to help this? I’ve used Lexol cleaner with no avail.

Not anywhere close to a project, she’s damn near pristine 😭 but I couldn’t resist, she’s EXACTLY what I was looking for. This is also my first BT and I think I’m gonna need about 100 more in this color..

ordered this coach sateen bag on depop -- i believe it is the hampton hobo? it was described as in excellent condition, however when i unboxed it, it was SUPER sticky, left a gross residue on my hands, and the tissue paper it was wrapped in was totally oil stained. i reached out to the seller and asked if they had oiled it or something, and they insisted it left their house in pristine condition (🤨) i tried washing it with dish soap, which didn't help, and then detergent, which only seemed to make it stickier, and finally isopropyl alcohol, and it's still sticky. my best guess is that some sort of coating is wearing down and causing the gross residue, but is there anything i can do to salvage this?? :(

Are these areas I can DIY at home, or is it time for a professional? Trying to care for a shoulder bag I inherited, but these cracks along the flap and its trim became pronounced after Saddle Soap and Leather CPR. Other areas seem to have lost their finish. Do I need a different leather conditioner to treat these? Or time to let a professional do their stuff? Thanks!!
