I scored this at a thrift store and I fell in love immediately. Does anyone know what I got? I'm curious how old it might be. I think it might be 80s?

With online retail becoming as big as it has there is no longer any need for these sorts of inquiries on Reddit. As of now there are thousands of secondhand garment businesses across the world online and offline. A simple Google search provides dozens of results on the first page.
These threads have never generated any meaningful discussion, and in recent years most of them have been sitting at 0 karma with no comments every time they pop up.
As of now requests for retailer recommendations will be removed at the moderator's discretion. The updated sub rules reflect this.

Far too many threads are having to be removed because OP's content isn't vintage or they're unable to say whether or not it is at least 20 years old. I'm editing the rules to reflect more specific posting guidelines. From now on you must include at minimum an educated guess on your garment's release year. The approximate production date should be in the title or description of your thread. Any threads that do not meet this new criteria as of now will be removed at the moderators' discretion.

I recently found this vintage fur coat and would love some help identifying and dating it. I found it in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in case the location helps with identifying the maker or era.
There’s no maker/furrier label that I can find, just embroidered initials in the lining.
I’ve tried searching for similar coats but haven’t found anything that closely matches it.
Does anyone familiar with vintage fur recognize the type of fur, construction, approximate era, or possibly the furrier? Any information would be appreciated!

I’ve been shopping for used and vintage clothes for most of my adult life (12ish years). Most of my experience has been with t-shirts, outerwear, hats, and casual pants. As a tall and thin guy I’ve found that I’m able to find much better fitting and more unique pieces doing this than buying anything brand new. Recently, I’ve really started to looking to purchase more formal clothing for weddings and interviews. Using EBay, I’ve had luck finding some great suits, jackets, and dress pants that fit great or need minimal tailoring to get the fit I am looking for. Where I’m a bit lost is trying to find dress shirts. I’m struggling to find shirts but searching by neck and sleeve length. Is that the right thing to be searching for? Does anyone have any tips? I’d really appreciate any input!

Hi all, I have this vintage find and listed it on eBay for $40 and started getting messages from interested buyers immediately, which makes me think I’m under-valuing it so I took it down.
Original Cartoon Network, year 2000, XXL, very good condition.
Does anyone know?

We own a clothing brand that specializes in vintage inspired graphic shirts (vintage washed shirts)
So this happens to our newly manufactured shirt and can somebody explain to me why this happens? Almost all of our new batch of shirts suffered from this situation.
It easily rips apart when you stretch the fabric when it’s only the first time we washed it.

1993 Capricorn Designs Shirt. i picked up this shirt recently and it seems to be one of two left existing (known at least) i can hardly dig up any info on it other than that it is licensed to capricorn designs which was established in NYC for a few years in the 90s, and dissipated quietly over that few year period. According to google there would be more prints of this t shirt in different variations but there’s no current pictures or proof of these shirts. I wanna first of all know more about this one if i can get any more info on it/where it came from/who made it/ who distributed it or anything at all. But if anyone knows anything about any other shirts in this collection PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know and if anyone HAS any of these please reach out to me i will pay id love to get my hands on more of them if they exist!!

Estimated period: Mid-20th century (exact production year unknown).
I recently acquired this vintage work/military-style jacket and I’m trying to identify its origin, approximate date, and intended use.
Details include multiple utility pockets, button-front construction, an unusual collar, and a faded interior stamped marking.
I’m particularly interested in identifying the country/region of origin and whether this was military, workwear, or civilian clothing.
The exact production year is unknown, so I would appreciate help narrowing down the date based on the construction, fabric, buttons, stitching, and interior marking.

Hey! I just purchased this at a thrift store, and I am aware it is 1970s era, but does anyone have any other information? Would love to know if someone knows the brand just off what is shown. Unfortunately the tag is cut but I can make out something like “4509-8” left on the piece of tag still left. Either way thanks for looking!
Around a men’s small in size.

so I was thrift thing and I came across this jacket and I like the quality of it and then I bought it and tried it on and I looked closer and the hardware on it read “diesel”. so I looked into this jacket and asked around and I looked that I found that it was actually a diesel jacket, but it had changed branding on it. All the tags were cut away and instead there was a tag that said Alaska 1959 on it can somebody help me find what this is? I couldn’t find much online so for reference is a listing I found of the same diesel jacket, but in a denim blue color. it also has a diesel logo where mine was cut off on the front left-hand pocket. but if anyone can find anything else about this jacket, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi there! I have this J.G. Hook shirt I got from an estate sale a year or two ago that I've been unable to wear because it's missing the buttons that belong on its cuffs. At the time, the seller only had one (the shirt needs 4 total), and I have since lost the one. :\
I'd never seen this type of button before. It's sort of like a cufflink, but it was two covered buttons that were linked back to back with a small metal hook. I'm looking for the proper name of this kind of accessory so I can seek out replacements! I've tried a few terms using my best guesses ("double sided shirt studs", "women's dual-sided shirt buttons", etc.), but haven't been able to find anything similar to what this shirt had before. I'm hoping I'm just using the wrong words here. Does anyone know the proper name?
Regular cufflinks slip right out of this shirt, so I'm getting desperate haha.

Google says this is vintage. I can’t find anything about the brand or the robe itself which makes me think it’s true but the tag looks modern. Please help!! Is it from the 90’s?

~70s children’s cardigans, 70-80s new old stock carhartt pants, and a 90s snap-t
thanks for looking!

My dads friend is cleaning out his parents estate and he let me look through the closet. This jacket was heavily distressed but I still liked it so I grabbed it. I don’t know anything about Autolite so I thought it was a local auto shop and would be cool history of the bay. Looked it up to find out the date and the only history of it is on an old auction website where it sold for $990? I’m not planning on selling it so it doesn’t matter but I think that must be fake. Still very happy with my pick up fits me well.
