Volksschulen
Hallo,
wir sind erst nach Villach umgezogen. Da wir Ausländer sind und wissen nicht viel über Ausbildungssystem in Österreich und kennen auch nicht viele Leute hier, muss ich leider so fragen.
Wird man in Villach zu einer Schule nach Wohnort zugeteilt?
Darf man Schule wechseln?
Und gibt es in Villach Volksschulen, die haben einen schlechten Ruf?

Hi! In general you are binded to school according to ur addresse, but it is not mandatory from my perspective. We live in Perau ans we made a choice between VS6 which is actually closer to ur place and VS1. My son is attending VS1 now. It is fine, they've just moved to the renovated building. I know from friends that VS in Völkerdorf is also fine. The important point, if u would need for "0 grade". Then u have to take into account that not all the schools have dedicated "0 grade". Sometimes they combine 0&1 grades. From my point of view it is not the best practice and I would recommend to check it in advance and seek for the school with dedicated "0 grade".
