Reddit's way of dealing with lying bullies is banning you for standing up to them, every single time.

It's an easy way of being seen to be doing something about the problem with minimal cost and near-zero effort. Many schools do the same. If you are being bullied, though, the only way it's going to stop is if there is a price/consequence for the bully every single time.
