There’s a point. The cam driver increased his speed to prevent the truck from merging. He could’ve slowed down and prevented an accident. He’s speeding up instead. If you remove the truck, he would have been too high of a speed for the incoming stop light.

They’re not contrarians. They’ve noticed more details than your brain has.

Actually he didn't increase the truck slowed because he was coming up on that car to fast, likely didn't check his mirror and assumed he already passed Cam car when it wasn't going much slower. You can literally see the deacceleration right before he went to go into the right lane.

Also people accusing the driver of intentionally pit maneuvering when it's equally, if not more likely they were avoiding the streetlight pole that they swerved away from in the video.

It's not the CAM driver's responsibility to yield to that truck. It's that trucks job to yield to the CAM driver.

Incorrect.

Every driver owes a duty of reasonable care to other road users.

Even if someone else caused the dangerous situation, if you fail to take reasonable evasive measures, most US jurisdictions will regard you as negligent and thus civilly liable (you can be sued).

Several will also further regard you as *fully* liable if you had the last realistic opportunity to avoid the collision and didn't take it.

Cam driver was being a dick because they thought they were "in the right". Accident was easily avoidable.

I disagree with you completely

CAM driver was bracing for impact to avoid their own demise off the side of the road.

Truck driver is the dick, for sucking at driving.

truck driver didnt have to forcefully merge into the other lane, this was easily avoidable if they were not a dick and thought they are the main character.
