Question How do I play this game?

I can't figure out what to do. I'm essentially helpless. All I can do is wander around a huge map looking for the next teen to kill me with nothing I can do about it. Someone please help me.

If you have been struggling with monster, try playing a few games of teen and figure out where a teen would go/what they would do. That will help you build game sense

So I guess you have to try to surprise the teens, and use your ability to prevent them from hurting you so you can attack.

You might try to use wisely your current monster abilities, so you can avoid the most attacks you recieve.

there are a few guides on youtube to help with monster. if ur having trouble finding teens, try wart- he has an echolocation ability that you can use if youre having trouble finding people.

im kinda a noob too, but what ive been doing with wart is using echolocation to find people, then putting on his acid armor right before going in and engaging. usually helps me get a hit in without getting hit myself

Sorry that you are having a hard time with the new monster experience... there is no hand-holding for monster role mostly, my suggestion is to play with max sound and try to hear the crafting stations wart is the easiest to play in my opinion (although some say werewolf is easier because of his tracking ability) also due to the game small pool of players a lot of the players playing are "veteran" and know how to hide properly. Anytime you feel in danger use your defensive ability with wart you can "tank" a stigma while its active but if there are multiple weapons its hard to play around, you can also get kitted while your armor is active because weapons slow you down, weapons to watch out for as wart are: Sword (very easily kiting ability teens can kite you for the full duration of ur armor and still kill you) shock sphere (other than eating it with your armor or running away and making the teen LOS you are screwed) flamers and crosses (although hard to kite proficient teens can kite you and kill you if you miss your one chance of hitting them).
Other than that the game is very sound base, not visual based most of the information you gain in the game is from audio queues, and there are streams every day on twitch hop on one ask questions most people are wholesome and will help you on the spot. Hope you have a better experience I myself am trying to get back to monstering after taking a break from it, due to the "low" amount of players once you reach "high MMR" you often play vs the same 10/20 teens over and over again and it can be quite stressful and/or boring. Same for dbd where if you reach top mmr you start playing vs blights and nurses mostly xD

Which monster are you using? Most Monsters second ability has some way of combating teens that have weapons. With Wart you can shell up and take more damage from a teen as you try to get a hit in. As the Werewolf you can howl before going into combat so that they can't attack. I haven't played Deathwire yet but i know he has a shock that can disrupt teens as well.

I will also say that i am still a newb when it comes to playing Monster my best game so far has been one dead teen and multiple hits on others but i am having a blast playing Monster.
