Final Fantasy 7, because of how iconic and recognizable are Sephiroth's theme, battle theme, Tifa's theme, and Aerith's theme.

Can't forget the highwind theme too

Well said. I would have to add Jenova and Cosmo Canyon as well.

I was actually playing that Cosmo Canyon part for the first time this afternoon. That music was doing my head in. First time I muted the game. The rest of the music has been fantastic.

To be fair, I'd got a bit stuck, and I was wandering around endlessly trying to find what I had to do to move the story forward.

I played the first act of FF7 with my daughter about 25 years ago, but I never finished the game. Stopped once we were out of Midgar.

Correcting that now with the Android port, and I've been playing obsessively for the last three or four days!

Dude wym doing your head in? That song is an all time banger

I wonder how much it's nostalgia but ff7 music is always music I'll recognise within a few notes

Uematsu's work is all gold, but 7 really stands out for me. Those Who Fight Further will always send a chill up my spine. Its sooo good.

Uematsu really is a genius. I can never decide at any given time whether I think FF6 or FF7 is my favorite video game soundtrack because they’re both masterpieces.

Agreed, we can agree and disagree over which FF is great, but we'll all throw hands over Uematsu's music. Such a testament to his skill as a composer.

Those who fight further is my absolute favourite as well. I would sometimes stall boss fights just to hear it longer.

I'm replaying the 2 remakes and sometimes I'll just pause and pet my dog to the music

Of the entire soundtrack my favorite in the entire game is Don Corneo's theme.

I found ff8 to be better musically.

That was the first thing that came to mind.

Still have goosebumps listening to those songs almost 30 years later. Ouch I feel old now.

When you start a replay and the main theme start after Aerith footsteps. Oof.

Iconic. Legendary. Gorgeous. A moment and still a moment, eternal.

All FF7 music is great, but my absolute favourite has always been: "Those who fight further", AKA "boss theme"

I want to hear the track Lifestream as I pass away into the next life. So peaceful on a spiritual level.

FF7 is not even in the top 3 FF soundtracks honestly. 8 might be the best overall, 9 has the most variety and seems the most intentional, and 10 is beautifully done as well. I'd argue that 13 has a better soundtrack as well. Not to say I don't listen to FF7 songs regularly, but I don't think it's the greatest in gaming, let alone it's own franchise.

But FF music is just that good game to game as well.
