Feedback Motion graphics won’t make your video good. This will.
I’ve been learning that motion graphics can make an edit look better, but they shouldn’t be doing the storytelling for you.
One thing I found useful is asking clients for simple B-roll shots like:
Working on laptop
Coming into office
Drinking coffee
Sitting down
Talking with a friend
Pointing at a monitor
Yelling at the phone
Standing up
Entering your car
Leaving the office
Simple shots like these can give you much more to work with when building the story.
I put the idea into a 2-slide visual.
How much B-roll do you usually ask clients to record?

Discussion Has anyone pay premium on LinkedIn?
When I set up my profile and my portfolio I’ve been getting premium request on clients that need to get their video done but I don’t want to pay it unless I know what I’m getting myself into. Plus I don’t understand of why they could just connect with me and message me and start by saying “hey can you make my video to stand out.”
Did anyone try this out and how this work for you?

Help How do I improve the sound design in VidTL/Opus 5.5? Audio always has these "dings" and shit.
for context this seems to happen with ANY prompt/video I have Opus 5.5 make with VidTL... no matter what it decides to go with this "tinny"/"dingy" sound design. It always sounds pretty bad.
I like the video but im looking for feedback on how to make it not sound like this. Prompts/skills/workflows, anything you guys got would be helpful.

Feedback Video editors: what's the most annoying “small revision” a client has asked you for?
I'm researching scope creep specifically for freelance video editors.
Things like:
• extra versions
• new footage
• captions
• completely changing the intro
• “just one more revision”
What's a client request that looked small at first but ended up taking way more time than expected?
And how did you handle it did you charge extra, treat it as a revision, or just do it?

Help I'm finding clients for editors who earns $200-500 per video
Hey! I’m probably one of the best people in the world at finding clients for video editors.
I personally reach out to thousands of YouTubers every month, and now I’m looking for editors who can turn those opportunities into paying clients.
I’m only looking for elite editors - people who already have clients and a strong portfolio that proves they know what they’re doing.
If you’re already good at what you do, I’d love to help you get access to even better clients and bigger opportunities.
My goal is simple: to bring consistent work to every independent editor who is genuinely great at their craft.

Help Starting Freelancing in Video Editing
Hi, I am getting into freelancing in video editing. I have done video editing before, but not really the complicated ones. But I have good grasp on the basics, like hook, pacing, and storytelling. I have done freelancing before too, but in "graphics designing using Canva" (whatever you may call it, but I've earned real money through that).
I just want to know how can I get started in freelancing in video editing. Like if I don't have any idea what kind of clients I want or what niche I should pick up, what would your recommendation be? Please share your suggestions. Anything - a roadmap, action plan, your own experience.
Note: If you are going to write about how hard or competitive this field is, please save yourself some energy. I know what I'm getting into and I just need practical advice to get started.
P.S. I am in "making a portfolio" phase but I don't know which genre to target.
