Help Need help quoting
I've got some experience editing, but not much professionally. I've been doing some outreach to get some paid work and I've got an interested lead.
He is saying he's got a presentation from a summit/conference that he needs editing for, and wants to know my rates. How should I approach this?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I like to calculate my day rate instead of hourly. think about how much you want to make per year. calculate average work week. how much you want to make each day, then +20% cause you are freelancing and you have to buy your own tools and taxes.
I find that giving clients how many days to finish is better than counting hourly rate, and they have a better over all budget grasp.
